Mr. Kenneth Ferguson, 73, of Ardmore, Ala., died Jan. 1, 2010.
He was born June 2, 1936, in Ardmore, Ala.
He is preceded in death by his father, O.T. Ferguson; step-father Grady Pepper; and wife Louise Smith Ferguson.

Mrs. Louetta Borocki, 85, of Pulaski died Jan. 6, 2010, at Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville.
She was born March 4, 1924, in Mogadore, Ohio. She was an active member of Welcome Valley Baptist Church, where she was the organist. The family said she will be missed by everyone.
She is preceded in death by husband Lawrence Carris; husband Sam Borocki; daughter Georgene Borocki; a brother; and a sister.

Mr. Ralph A. Boatright, 95, of the Blue Creek community died Jan. 8, 2010, at his residence.
A life-long resident of the Blue Creek community, he was a farmer and member of Cornersville First Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earnie and Mary Lee Birdsong Boatright; two brothers, Floyd Boatright and Will Boatright; and an infant sister.

Mrs. Peggy Dugger Tomerlin, 76, of Pulaski died Jan. 13, 2010.

Mr. William Roy Lee, 80, of Columbia died Jan. 14, 2010, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 1, 1929, in Hickman County.
In addition to working on lawn mowers, he was employed as a driver for Victory Van Lines. Also, he was a member of Cross Bridges Baptist Church.

A native of Giles County, he was retired from Richland Mills and was a member of First Baptist Church of Pulaski.

Mrs. Annie Lee Bauer Ferguson Willingham, 87, of Toney, Ala., died Jan. 22, 2010, at Huntsville Hospital.
Born Sept. 16, 1922, near Athens, Ala., she lived all her life in this area. She was a member of Wooley Springs Baptist Church, where in past years she had been very active.
She was a member of Oak Grove Homemakers Club and was a columnist for the Athens News Courier and The Ardmore Shopper for more than 40 years, writing her “Wooley Springs News.” She worked as a poll worker in elections for many years and volunteered as a senior citizen bus driver.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Aron and Emma Boeswetter Bauer; and her husbands, R.L. Ferguson and the Rev. George Taylor Willingham.

Mr. Malcolm Junior Posey, 57, of Ardmore, Ala., died Jan. 26, 2010, at his residence.
He was born April 6, 1952, in Athens, Ala. He is preceded in death by his parents, U.F. (Pug) and Lizzie B. Peoples Posey; brother Calvin Posey; and sisters, Hazel Gilbert, Daisey Swint and Dovie Bland.

Mr. Clyde Dexter Newton Jr., 58, of Pulaski died Jan. 28, 2010, at Ardmore on Main in Ardmore, Tenn.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Alice Wright Newton.
Funeral services were held Jan. 31 at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home with Mr. Rev. Mike Hume and Neil Price officiating. Burial was in New Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Carl A. (Veno) Aymett, 72, of Nashville, formerly of Giles County, died Jan. 28, 2010.
He was a member of Thompson Chapel Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Katie B. Aymett; brother Thomas W. Aymett; grandparents, Ruby and Nick Butcher, Sallie and Thomas Aymett; and niece Dr. Angela Aymett-Tucker.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Feb. 4, at McCabe Golf Course.

Mrs. Dodie Cline-Lofton, 52, of Pulaski died Jan. 29, 2010, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Shelby and Goldie Ray Kelly Lofton.

Mr. Charles E. Ausburn, 63, of Powdersville, S.C., died Jan. 29, 2010, in Beaufort, S.C.
One of eight children, he was born and reared in Powdersville and attended Clemson University.
Mr. Ausburn, an influential philanthropist, was a real estate developer for the Milky Way Farm in Pulaski, who developed properties in many other states, including South Carolina, North Carolina and West Virginia. He is best known in Beaufort, S.C., for The Islands of Beaufort and Bermuda Bluff Island.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer H. and Morene Pritchett Ausburn; brothers, Ralph and Edward; and sister Patsy Ann.
Burial will be private, but the family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., today (Tuesday) at Robinson Funeral Home in Easley, S.C., which is in charge of arrangements. Friends will gather for a Celebration of Charles’ Life at The Islands of Beaufort and a separate gathering in the Nashville area at a later date.

Mr. Jimmy Young, 62, of Elkton died Jan. 30, 2010, in Ardmore, Tenn.
An EMT since 1972, Mr. Young served the people of Giles County for 23 years with the Giles County Ambulance Service. He retired from the National Guard with 29 years of service and also was a licensed practical nurse.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Archie and Hazel Elizabeth Paul Young.

Mr. Frank Fralix, 85, of Pulaski died Jan. 31, 2010, at Hillside Hospital.
He was born March. 1, 1924, in Giles County and was retired as a farmer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Glennie and Roxie Jane Journey Fralix; and two daughters, Evelyn Joyce Fralix and Mary Tina Fralix.

Mr. Douglas Ray Carr, 69, of Toney, Ala., died Jan. 31, 2010.
He was born July 29, 1940, in Toney. He is preceded in death by his parents Millard and Lonnie Simmons Carr.
Survivors include two brothers, Thomas Carr of Ardmore, Ala., and Danny Carr of Toney; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Margaret Cunningham, 95, of Fayetteville died Jan. 30, 2010, at Donalson Care Center.
A native of Lincoln County, she was a homemaker and member of the Boonshill Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Naomi Giles Thomas.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Higgins Funeral Home with Thomas Smith officiating. Burial will be in Boonshill Cemetery beside her husband, William Harry Cunningham, who died in April 1987.

Mr. David Joe Perry, 55, of Pulaski died Jan. 25, 2010, at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point, N.J.
A native of Marion County, Ind., he was employed as a recycling supervisor for Chinook Sciences.
He is preceded in death by his father, Delbert Thurman Perry.
Funeral services were held Jan. 31 at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Fayetteville.
