
Brian Henson, of Campbellsville, was the gold medal winner in Bunker Trap at the Tennessee State Jr. Olympics at Holly Fork Range in Paris, Tenn., May 21-22.
Henson scored 116 out of a possible 125 targets to win the gold medal and earn an automatic invitation to the National Jr. Olympics at Ft. Carson in Colorado Springs, Co.
Another Giles Countian, Allison Riggin, was a silver medal winner in the women’s division.
Henson and Murfreesboro’s Trey Hill (111) were the only two automatic qualifiers for the nationals among the 105 competitors in the state meets. Shooters were required to score 110 or better to receive the automatic invitation.
