To save the town money, members of the Lynnville Board of Mayor and Aldermen and possibly others have volunteered to paint the rest of the Reid Community Theatre, which houses the Lynnville Branch of the Giles County Public Library.

Board members estimated the work could be done in two to three days and voted March 2 to do the work themselves.

Four bids, ranging from approximately $1,500 to $2,000 each, were received for the painting; none were voted on.

The motion by Alderman Patty Patterson, and approved by the board, was to paint and also pick up the paint.

Floyd Pratt is the mayor and Paul Dugger is vice mayor. Other aldermen are Carnell McCandless and William Morse, who attended, and Alderman Sandra White.
