One person was injured in a pair of shooting incidents in Pulaski Saturday.
Pulaski Police are investigating the shootings, which took place on Childers Street.
The first incident occurred at approximately 4:22 p.m. Saturday resulting in one victim suffering gunshot wounds.
Giles EMS paramedics transported the patient to a pre-established landing area at Bridgeforth Middle School where he was flown via AirEvac to Huntsville (Ala.) Hospital, said EMS Director Roy Griggs.
Officials have not released the identity of the victim.
Another shooting in the same vicinity was reported just after midnight Sunday morning that did not result in injury, according to Pulaski Police Chief John Dickey.
PPD Investigator Gerrod Shirey is leading the investigation.
Dickey said he believed there is not an ongoing threat, but urged the public to exercise caution any time they hear gunfire.
“Everyone needs to be aware of their surroundings. Any time people engage in gunfire, especially in a populated area, the surrounding folks need to take necessary action and take cover,” Dickey said.
