Giles County increased to 122 patients who have tested positive for COVID-19, coronavirus, as of 2 p.m. today, July 13, according to the Tennessee Department of Health website, Tn.gov/health.
Forty-one of those confirmed cases have now recovered.
In today’s update on TN.gov/health, negative tests rose to 2,720, up from 2,572.
One fatality has been reported for Giles.
Test results in Tennessee counties contiguous to Giles are: Lawrence — 250 positive, 3,802 negative, 100 recovered, six fatalities; Lincoln — 95 positive, 2,694 negative, 50 recovered; Marshall — 123 positive, 2,466 negative, 56 recovered, two fatalities; and Maury — 499 positive, 6,575 negative, 269 recovered, three fatalities.
As of 2 p.m. today, Tennessee has reported 65,274 total cases, 977,504 negative tests, 749 fatalities and 36,996 recovered.
According to Johns Hopkins University, the United States has 3,336,154 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 135,400 deaths.
Globally, JHU reports 12,988,624 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 570,397 deaths.
