Giles County Schools is considering a number of options for what school might look like in the 2020-21 school year.
“It is important for us to identify and understand parents’ expectations, concerns and thoughts regarding a return to school,” Director of Schools Vickie Beard said. “We realize that there are many uncertainties.”
In an effort to develop a plan of action in light of the current state of COVID-19 in Tennessee, Giles County Schools has developed a parent survey to be completed by all parents who have students who are expected to be enrolled in a Giles County school for the upcoming academic year. The survey is short and asks parents to respond to only a few questions. One survey will be submitted for each school-aged child in the household. “Completion of this survey by parents is vital for the school system to be able to plan accordingly for the upcoming year,” Beard said.
A link to the survey will be sent through School Messenger Friday, June 5. Surveys can be completed on a computer or a smartphone.
For those families who do not have the capability to complete the survey online, paper copies of the survey can be picked up and returned to any Giles County school.
All survey responses must be submitted by Wednesday, June 10.
“We appreciate and value your input,” Beard concluded.
