Giles County increased to 103 patients who have tested positive for COVID-19, coronavirus, as of 2 p.m. today, July 11, according to the Tennessee Department of Health website, Tn.gov/health.
Thirty-three of those confirmed cases have now recovered.
In today’s update on TN.gov/health, negative tests rose to 2,537, up from 2,524.
One fatality has been reported for Giles.
Test results in Tennessee counties contiguous to Giles are: Lawrence — 232 positive, 3,618 negative, 93 recovered, six fatalities; Lincoln — 86 positive, 2,551 negative, 49 recovered; Marshall — 115 positive, 2,285 negative, 54 recovered, two fatalities; and Maury — 454 positive, 6,231 negative, 259 recovered, three fatalities.
As of 2 p.m. today, Tennessee has reported 61,006 total cases, 935,689 negative tests, 738 fatalities and 35,435 recovered.
According to Johns Hopkins University, the United States has 3,215,861 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 134,430 deaths.
Globally, JHU reports 12,576,457 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 561,879 deaths.
