Giles County remained at eight patients who have tested positive for COVID-19, coronavirus, as of 2 p.m. today, May 2, according to the Tennessee Department of Health website, Tn.gov/health.
Four of those confirmed cases have recovered.
In today’s update on TN.gov/health, negative tests rose to 450, up from 425.
Test results in Tennessee counties contiguous to Giles are: Lawrence — 17 positive, 868 negative, 16 recovered; Lincoln — 14 positive, 598 negative, nine recovered; Marshall — 23 positive, 596 negative, 11 recovered, one fatality; and Maury — 44 positive, 1,586 negative, 34 recovered.
As of 2 p.m. today, Tennessee has reported 12,661 positive tests, 183,615 negative tests, 209 fatalities and 5,718 recovered.
