The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development will make a stop in Giles County for it’s “listening tour” next week.

According to TNECD, “Listening tours are an opportunity to hear from the communities we serve on how best to meet their needs.”

ECD will be at the UT Southern Movie Theater, 433. W. Madison St., Pulaski, Monday, Sept. 13, beginning at 2 p.m.

Each stop is scheduled for two hours and will include time to network with attendees.

With TNECD’s recent announcement of $500 million in Tennessee’s American Rescue Plan (ARP) funding for broadband, this will be a great opportunity to meet with your communities to identify unserved areas for grant applications, gather community support and supplemental evidence to disprove broadband service availability, discuss RFPs required of local governments with their ARP funds, and/or partner on adoption efforts.
