Obit-Wamble, Robert Bernard

Mr. Robert (Bob) Bernard Wamble, 74, of Pulaski died May 10, 2020, at the VA in Nashville.  

Mr. Wamble was born May 24, 1945, in Moultrie, Ga. He was a well-known Giles County historian, a member of the Historical Society and on the Board of Directors. He was also an author and served in the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by parents, Bernard Covington and Elizabeth Williams Wamble.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 13, at 1 p.m. at Giles Memory Gardens. During these unprecedented times, the family asks that everyone please respect social distancing and requests that attendees wear masks.

Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to the Giles County Public Library or First United Methodist Church-Pulaski.

Survivors include wife of 52 years Linda Wamble of Pulaski; sons, Bobby Wamble and wife Allyson of Franklin, David Wamble and wife Meleah of Pulaski; grandchildren, Anna Wamble, Caroline Wamble, Sarah Wamble, Jack Wamble; brothers, Tom Wamble and wife Mary K of Valdosta, Ga., John Wamble and wife Diane of Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews.
